So all I had to do was move it and use the command "noip2" to get things rolling. Detailed instructions for installation of the no-ip client are here: I did that.
With the free service, you have to use one of their domain names.
I run it as a service or daemon, I am not sure how else you would run there, (UPDATE: please note: the below description applies to ddclient from atrpms repository - ddclient from rpmfusion repo has different path settings!
For some reason I am not getting my IP address updated at dyndns from my ddclient program.
