This just doesn't seem to be the week for young love.
Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama have announced through a joint statement on social media that they've decided to call it quits after nearly six years of dating."After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship," the statement began."This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years."No other details concerning their split have been revealed.
As you may have notice, Demi Lovato is so in love right now with boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama.
The “Skyscraper” singer hasn’t been shy about her relationship lately, specifically pointing out the times her boyfriend saved her life when she was struggling with an eating disorder and depression.
But when marriage and children were brought up in a conversation, Valderrama gave the impression that he wasn’t ready for that kind of a commitment, leaving Lovato heartbroken.
Wilmer was said to have been Demi’s first real boyfriend, so to be told that he didn’t want to get married — at least not in the near future — didn’t sit well with the “Confident” singer.
Demi Lovato has sparked rumours she is dating NFL player Odell Beckham Jr..
The fact that they had been together for such a long time seemed to convince Demi that Wilmer was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with."I've been my heaviest in my relationship with Wilmer and also been my thinnest," she explained."He's seen it all and loves me equally, and it gives me confidence to know that." Wilmer echoed similar sentiments about his girl, calling Demi his "f--king soul mate" in a funny text conversation that surfaced online.A source told Us Weekly, "John had his arm around Demi and was whispering sweet nothings into her ear. They weren't making out or anything, but she was giggling the whole time.” Another eyewitness added that the two "chatted it up for over an hour” with John raving that Demi “has one of the greatest voices.” This wasn’t the first time that Mayer reportedly complimented Lovato.Back in 2009, he took to Twitter to show his love for one of her songs. B section is sophisticated.” She responded, "That is quite possibly the best compliment I've received in this business. ” The two ended up chatting on Twitter with Mayer gushing, "You're going to make lots of records, I can tell.
