I use Windows Defender and I seriously doubt I have any sort of infection but I will run some AV checks. The update server for Sea Monkey has an outdated cert and there was no time to update it before release of ver 2.35. The solution is to NOT use the internal updater but download the full installer which has the new cert.
Then in the future internal update will have the new cert and can be used for future updates.
I have Sea Monkey 2.33 and it is not my default browser so I hadn't gotten around to updating it until now.
We also need people doing QA and regular testing on our product. These instructions apply to the following applications though they can also be applied to other Mozilla based applications: Below are examples of where localized mar files for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows can be downloaded from. You will need to navigate to the version directory, to the updates directory, and then to the platform directory for the mar file that you want to apply.Anyone who lagged, or now wants to "update" since the cert change, will get that sort of message & will need to download the 2.35 (soon to be 2.38) release directly. The Sea Monkey® Project Sea Monkey Download & Releases I downloaded the full installer and it updated on top of 2.33.1 with no problems.
